Editorial policy

Beyond Dojo exists to be a reference, not a content farm. This page explains how we work so you can judge whether to trust what we publish.

Answer first

Every article opens with the answer to its core question in two or three sentences. Definitions, key facts, tables and step lists come before storytelling. If a page does not let you find the point in ten seconds, it is not finished.

History: sources on every claim

• History articles list their sources at the end and mark them up as citations.
• Legends are labelled as legends. Founding myths and national narratives are reported, not adopted.
• Where sources disagree or a date is uncertain, the text says so.
• Terms are given in their original language with a transliteration and an explanation.

Training and workouts

Programs are written or reviewed by people who coach them. Every workout states its goal, level, duration and equipment, and says who it is not for. We do not publish protocols we would not give our own students.

Nutrition

Recipes carry macros per serving, calculated from standard nutrition databases and marked as approximate. Guides make no health or treatment claims. Anything about cutting weight carries a warning and a pointer to medical advice; we do not describe dehydration methods, diuretics or sauna suits.

Gear and affiliate income

• Verdicts are written before, and independently of, any affiliate relationship.
• Every review names pros and cons. Products we would not buy are not recommended.
• Manufacturers do not see texts before publication and cannot pay for placement.
• Affiliate links are labelled on the page and explained on the affiliate disclosure page.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools for drafting, editing and code. Facts, sources, verdicts and anything published under a byline are checked by the named author. No article is published without a person taking responsibility for it.

Corrections and updates

Every article shows its publication date and, when changed, its last update. Factual corrections are made in the text, and substantive ones are noted. Found an error? Write to [corrections@beyond-dojo.example] and we will look at it within a few days.

Authors are listed with their background on their profile pages. The editorial team is described on the About page.
