組み方 · ku-mi-ka-ta

The standard grip is one hand on the lapel and one on the sleeve, but the fight is over who gets a dominant grip first and who is forced to defend. Rules limit unusual grips and passivity to keep matches active, which is why grip fighting is heavily regulated in competition judo.
